Stencil + Glitter paste = Pure Awesomeness!

Image
Hello there! Today I would like to share with you a fun card I made using one of my favorite stencils from Gina K Designs. As always I will list the supplies I used at the end of this post. Last week I watched one of Gina K's live videos and loved one of the color combos she used on the stencil she was working on (you can watch her video here ). My wheels started spinning and wanted to try that color combo right away. I used one of her stencils called Sun Spots on my 120lb card stock, and two of her inks.  I stated with my purple color and then my green. Before I remove my stencil I used a glitter paste that I had (I ran out of my Gina K's 😥) to cover the area. It looks so shinny! To finish my card, I added a sentiment from the Happy Birthday set from The Stamping Village and some liquid pearls to fill in those cute hearts 💗. I hope you have liked this card and that it has inspired you to do something creative today! If you want to know of any future projects I make, don

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps January Release Blog Hop & Giveaway!

Image
Hi there! Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy January Release Hop. Hop along with us as we share our projects with the fabulous January release! Don't forget to leave a little comment love for the designers linked below for a chance to be entered into our giveaway drawing for a $25 gift voucher to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps shop. Winner will be announced on the SNSS blog, Wednesday, January 20.  For today's card, I wanted to do a coffee theme. I played around with mixing different types of backgrounds. I used the Texture Tiles 9 stamp set for that and it was a lot of fun! I also used a couple of distressed oxide inks to give it that coffee color.  I used embossing powder to heat emboss the images and give it that glossy look against that matte areas of the background. At the end, I added a strip of glitter card stock between the splatters and the text. After finishing the background, I chose this cute tea cup from the stamp set called I Like Big Cups. I wanted a small

Coffee Makes Adulting Easier

Image
Who can agree that adulting is hard? I know I do! I remember when I was little telling my parents that I could not wait to be a grown up. Well, guess what? Now I wish I could be young again and have no responsibilities whatsoever, hahaha! If only! But since that can't happen, thank God we got coffee to get us through the day, am I right? With that being said, I want to share with you a card that I made recently using stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps new release called Coffee Talk 2. As always, I have listed the supplies I used at the end of this post. I wanted to keep this card simple so the main focus would be that funny coffee sentiment. I started by using the Hot Chocolate die cuts from The Stamps of Life using my platinum 6 die cutting machine from Spellbinders (the Jane Davenport colorful version).  After I die cut the coffee mug using 110lb card stock and the shadow of that die, I used distress oxide ink to color the mug. To stamp the sentiment, I used my Misti (because

Who wants Cake?

Image
Who doesn't love cake?!?! I LOVE cake, hahaha! I grew up not only in a family that had a catering service (from my mother's side) but they also baked cakes for weddings, birthdays, or for any type of celebration. So you can say my family is at fault for my love of cake 😄. So when I saw that Gina K Designs had this stamp set called Cake Toppers (It's on sale now!) I had to get it! I will list the supplies used on this card at the end of this post.  I love that this is a layered stamp set that way you can choose what colors you want on the cake and flowers that come in the set. I used inks from Gina K to ink the cake layers as well as the flowers and the cake stand. I then used one of my warm gray Copic markers to give a light hint of color on the cake stand.  I heat embossed the sentiment using embossing powder from WOW! Embossing. To finish the card, I used embellishments from Taylored Expressions. As always, I hope this project has inspired you to do something creative to

You Have My Heart

Image
Hello Crafty friends! I hope your week is going great! I just wanted to share with you a simple card I made using my new stamp set from My Favorite Things called: You Have My Heart. I like the images and sentiments that come in this set. I will link to the supplies used at the end of this post. I wanted to keep this card very simple. So I used the cute image of the little girl sitting next to her dog and place the cute sentiment under it. I used my Copic markers to color the images and added the little heart that comes in the set to match what the sentiments says. I used ink from The Stamp Market to ink that cute heart. To finish the card I added some glossy accents on the heart from Ranger and placed some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I hope this simple card has inspired you to do something creative today 💓. Supplies used on this card: - Stamps: You Have My Heart - Inks: Obsidian Pigment Ink   Cherry Kisses ink pad - Embellishments Glossy Accents   Sparkling Clear Mix Tools: - Tim

But First...Coffee

Image
Who needs coffee first thing in the morning? I know some people do before they interact with another human being, hahaha! This reminds me of a cute clip I saw on YouTube a while back of a cute kid screaming and then saying "morning". See the clip here: We woke up this morning like.   I was inspired not only by that cute clip I'm sharing on this post, but also by my husband who needs coffee first thing in the morning before he has a conversation with someone to create today's card.   For this card I used two stamp sets from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps called A Little Snarky and Coffee Talk 2. I also used this cute coffee mug from The Stamps of Life called Coffee Cup. You can use this card to make a fold card that will fit in an A2 envelope or as a simple die cut like I did for this card. After I die cut the mug, I stamp my images with my Misti. I then colored this sassy girl with my Copic markers. I then cut a pink card stock smaller than my 4 ¼ by 5 ½ and placed the fi
