Using Wax Seals on Cards

Hello crafty friends! I know wax seals are usually used for envelopes, but have you used them to decorate a card? I did, and it was so much fun!

I started by melting some of the wax from the Let's Party wax melts from Honey Bee Stamps and used the Birthday Cake wax stamper to make the impression. Then, I used a gold marker to color the cake.

Next, I trimmed a front panel piece for an A2 card base and embossed it using the 3D Tile Reflection embossing folder. Then, I used foam adhesive to tape the wax seals and gold thread. For a sentiment, I used one of the sentiments from the Always and Forever press plate and dies.

Once I was done with my front panel, I glued it to my card base and added some embellishments from Pinkfresh Studios.

To finish, I paired this fun card to a matching envelope. Now it is ready to be sent to a loved one on their birthday!

I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I did when I made it! Make sure to follow me on Instagram as well as checking my previous blog posts for some fun inspiration. See you next time!
