This Card is Bananas!
Happy Friday crafty friends! Today I'm sharing another fun card I made using supplies that Scrapbook.com sent me (Thanks SBC!) from Sizzix & Catherine Pooler's new release.
I had a lot of fun creating the background for this card. I used the new It's a Jungle Out There layered stencil, Green Tea, Lime Rickey, and Sauna Catherine Pooler's inks, and the Mood Ring Neon Lunar Paste.
Once I was done with my background, I stamped the cute monkey and banana images from the Going Bananas stamp set on a separate piece of card stock. Then, I colored them by using Copic markers.
Next, I used the coordinating dies from the Going Bananas 2 die set to die cut the images. I die cut extras so I could glue them together for dimension.
I also I added some vine die cuts from the Going Bananas die set to add to the stenciled background.
Next, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Going Bananas stamp set using white embossing powder on a colored card stock. Then, I trimmed it to fit on my card.
Since I was done with inking, die cutting, and embossing, it was time to start gluing the background on my A2 card base plus the die cuts and stamp images. Once I was done doing that, I added some embellishments on the center of the flowers in the background.
To finish, I paired this fun card to a matching envelope. Now it is ready to be sent to a loved one!
I hope you have enjoyed today's card tutorial as much as I did when I made it! Make sure to follow me on Instagram as well as checking my previous blog posts for some fun inspiration. Have a fun and creative weekend!
