For today's card, I wanted to do a coffee theme. I played around with mixing different types of backgrounds. I used the Texture Tiles 9 stamp set for that and it was a lot of fun! I also used a couple of distressed oxide inks to give it that coffee color.
I used embossing powder to heat emboss the images and give it that glossy look against that matte areas of the background. At the end, I added a strip of glitter card stock between the splatters and the text.
After finishing the background, I chose this cute tea cup from the stamp set called I Like Big Cups. I wanted a small design on the actual tea cup, so I used an image from the set Sweet Little Lamb. Once I finished stamping, I used my Scan 'n Cut from Brother to cut the tea cup. I used my Copic markers to color the images as well as the white border that I left around it so it could match my background.
To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from the set called Coffee talk 2 to a piece of Kraft card stock I had and glued it to the card. I also added some gold sequins to give the illusion like if it was shinny steam coming from the coffee.
I hope this card has inspired you to do something creative today!
