Sizzix & Catherine Pooler Collab!
Hi crafty friends! Today Sizzix and Catherine Pooler have a fantastic new release! It's packed with a lot of fun stamps and dies that are perfect to make any crafty project. I can't wait to share with you all of the cards I made! Thank you Scrapbook.com for sending me this wonderful release.
For today's card, I used the new Pool Deck stencil and Synchronized Swimmers stamps and dies. I started by trimming a piece of card stock to fit my A2 card. Then, I used the Pool Deck stencil and Catherine Pooler inks to create the background.
Once I was done inking my background, I used one of the nested rectangle dies to die cut the center of the background.
I was going for a pool design with the stenciled background, so of course I needed to add the "water" element to it. For that, I used one of the blue papers from the Sherbet paper pack.
On this paper, I stamped and heat embossed the wave images from the Synchronized Swimmers stamps set with white embossing powder.
I ended adding more blue to this background by blending Oh Boy ink. Then, I sprayed some water to make it look like bubbles.
To make this card into a shaker card, I trimmed a piece of acetate and glued it to the stenciled background. Next added, some flat embellishments, foam adhesive to the front panel piece, and taped it to the blue paper.
I needed to add some swimmers to this colorful pool, that is where the Synchronized Swimmers dies came in handy.
Once I was done with die cutting, I glued all the pieces together, glued them to the card, and heat emboss one of the sentiments from the Synchronized Swimmers stamps set. To finish, I paired this fun card to a matching envelope. Now it is ready to be sent to a loved one!
