Fairy Pumpkin House
Hello crafty friends! I hope you're having a wonderful day so far. I'm back at home after spending a wonderful week with my parents. I even took some crafty supplies so my mom and I could make some cards together!
While enjoying the time making cards with my mom, I had the idea to make a fall themed card - but with a twist. Unfortunately, it would have to wait until I was back home. So. As soon as I was back, I got in my craft room and started to work on today's card!
First, I die cut the pumpkin from the Pumpkin House die set from Lawn Fawn. I had already a rough idea of the colors I wanted to use on this cute pumpkin, but after playing with them a bit I went with Dried Marigold, Saltwater Taffy, and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. Then, I went ahead and die cut all the other parts of the pumpkin out of glitter and holographic cardstock. I die cut the pumpkin and all the other pieces at least three times to add some dimension.
After I created an A7 card base, I trimmed another piece out of black card stock (smaller than the card base) to use as the front panel - something different than what I usually do! On this piece, I used a cloud stencil and white pigment ink to create some clouds. Next, I splattered some gold watercolor to make it seem like shiny stars.
On a separate piece of cardstock, I stamped images from the Fairy Friends stamp set and colored them with Copic markers. I die cut each image at least three times to add some dimension. Next, I glued all my die cuts on my front panel. To finish the card, I added some Stickles to the flowers and some glossy accents to the cute lamps.
