Inked Background Inspired by Patterned Paper

Happy Friday crafty friends! I hope you guys had a great week. Mine was a bit busy, but I tried to make time to play with supplies and to make a card or two in my craft room.

Today's card was actually inspired by Lawn Fawn pattern paper. You will find the list of supplies plus some great deals from Scrapbook.com at the end of this post.

To start, I used Simon Hurley ink pads to ink this fun background. I used the Speech Bubble stencil from Creative Expressions which I thought would go perfectly with one of their stamp sets.

I LOVE this Speech Bubble stencil! It was so much fun to ink. After inking the background, I stamped some mini sentiments from the Hero Greetings stamp set on some of the speech bubbles.

Next, I stamped the envelope image from one of the stamp sets from Creative Expressions on white card stock. I used my Brother Scan N Cut machine to cut the image. To color the image, I used my Copic markers. Then, I heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set. To finish the card, I added foam adhesive to the image and sentiment and then taped it to the inked background.

I hope you have enjoyed today's blog post and that it has given you some #funspiration to do something creative today!

Most of my supplies from today's card are from Scrapbook.com and at the moment they have some free gifts with your purchase!
