Simple Sympathy Card
Hello crafty friends! I hope your week is going well. Today I want to share a simple card I made using supplies from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
The stamp set that I used for this card is called Roses For You, it's from SNSS's new release. This set has two beautiful rose images and sentiments. For today's card, I chose a sympathy sentiment. These types of cards might sometimes be sad to create. We know we will be sending them to someone that needs our love and support during a difficult time. But I know that we, as card makers, create these types of cards and the lovely messages we write inside them, to bring our loved ones joy - through which they will be reminded they are loved and have our support.
When I made this card I wanted to keep it simple. I used the Chicken Wire stencil with some Unicorn pigment ink from Hero Arts and my blending tool from Ranger Ink. When I was done inking my background on grey cardstock, I quickly used clear embossing powder to heat emboss the background.
Then I heat embossed one of the rose images from the Roses For You stamp set with silver embossing powder. To color the rose, I used some Prismacolor and Faber-Castell color pencils.
To finish the card, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Roses for You stamp set on Hero Arts Pitch black cardstock with white embossing powder. I also added some embellishments from Trinity Stamps and Pretty Pink Posh.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card! Please feel free to leave a comment - I look forward to hearing from you guys! You can always follow me @harshgurl (Instagram) to see more crafty inspiration!
